While our ADL camp was an amazing, life-changing experience for our kiddos, it was stressful for some. At the camp, our kiddos were away from home for the first time to perform daily living activities, they encountered people, activities, and situations with whom they were unfamiliar and find themselves in a position to test the limits of their own skills and abilities.
Our objective was to promote learning life skills, friendships, social interaction with new people and encourage kiddos to feel confident about themselves.
